After returning home, I want to upload those 4K MP4 videos to Facebook and YouTube for sharing with my family and friends. Before uploading, I need to import 4k MP4 videos into FCP X for some better editing, but when I transfer 4k MP4 videos into FCP X, things doesn’t go well. I can’t edit 4k MP4 in FCP X at all, what’s wrong with it? Please help me.
The FDR-AXP33 uses a 1/2.3in backside illuminated (BSI) Exmor R CMOS sensor, paired with a BIONZ X image processor capable of shooting 3,840×2,160 resolution 4K footage at either 24 or 25 frames per second or 1080p video at 50fps, as well as 20.6-megapixel stills. With Wi-Fi and NFC functions, FDR-AXP33 can be remotely operated, and content can be transferred between the camcorder and a smartphone or tablet via Play Memories Mobile app for mobile devices. Designed for easy shooting as well as expedited editing, the camcorder ensures your memories are preserved exactly as you envision them.
However, most people may wonder to know whether can FCP X support 4K videos, the answer is of course No, why? So you won’t open and import Sony AXP33 4K footage into FCP X correctly. What caused the issues? The main reason is that at currently the best supported ormat by FCP X is Apple ProRes, and the other format videos are not supported well. As for the latest XAVC S codec videos, Final Cut Pro can’t handle in at all. You may encounter some problems when you import Sony FDR-AXP33 4k MP4 to FCP X.
